Benefits

Our Department offers an excellent benefit package including immediate accrual of annual and sick leave, eleven paid holidays, and a contributory retirement plan. Our Department pays the major portion of medical health insurance for full-time employees and offers several medical plans from which to choose. These plans range from an indemnity plan with a PPO option to HMO's.

Other benefits include maternity leave, court and jury duty leave, military leave and a catastrophic illness leave program as well as Family and Medical leave. Employees with our Department may choose to participate in a deferred compensation plan and various options for life insurance, accident insurance, cancer care and intensive care insurance. Employees are also able to participate in the Arkansas Cafeteria Plan which is a program designed to allow an employee to pay for group health and life insurance premiums, dependent day care and out-of-pocket medical care costs tax free. All employees of our Department are also covered under workers' compensation and unemployment insurance.

Food Preparation Technician

Location: Mt. Magazine State Park, Paris, AR

Summary of Duties & Minimum Qualifications:

This position rotates and maintains storage of all foodstuffs in the restaurant and supplies the cook line with clean utensils, plates, pots, pans, and food containers as needed throughout the work day. Will also assist on the cook line or as a dishwasher when needed.  Applicant must be able to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Free van transportation to the Lodge available for some shifts.

Assistant Restaurant Manager

Location: Petit Jean State Park, Morrilton, AR

Summary of Duties & Minimum Qualifications:

This position assists in the management of a 104-seat restaurant and 50-seat meeting room at Mather Lodge. Duties include assisting with hiring, training, and supervising of restaurant staff, preparing work schedules, completing performance appraisals, ordering food and supplies, maintaining food cost, quality control and customer service standards. Must be able to train others to prepare quality food items. Other duties include assisting with menu creation, cash control, group meal planning and other duties as assigned. Applicant must be able to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, and must possess a valid driver’s license. A criminal background check and driver’s record check will be performed.

Landscape Technician

Location: Village Creek State Park, Wynne, AR

Summary of Duties & Minimum Qualifications:

This position is responsible for landscaping and maintenance activities at the Village Creek Golf Course.  Typical duties will be pruning, mixing chemicals, applying fertilizers and pesticides, mulching, weeding and planting trees and shrubs.  Other job duties include monitoring inventories, operating a variety of grounds keeping equipment, maintaining and monitoring the irrigation system and other duties as assigned.  Familiarity with mowing equipment is required.  Applicant must be able to work a varied shift, including weekends and holidays, and be able to work in all kinds of weather.  A driving record check will be performed.
