Here at Arkansas's first environmental education state park, helpful and knowledgeable interpreters present workshops on ecological/environmental topics. The park's natural resources provide a living laboratory for students and visitors to learn more about the outdoors. Most of Logoly's 368 acres comprise a State Natural Area that includes a unique collection of plant species and mineral springs not found at other parks.
Park facilities include six group tent sites (no hookups), a bathhouse with hot showers, standard pavilion (free to educational groups), picnic sites, playground, trails, and a *visitor center with exhibits and an indoor classroom. [NOTE: Educational groups have preference and must call ahead to make reservations. Individuals may use campsites on a first-come basis, but must vacate for groups.]
The visitor center at Logoly State Park's new visitor center is now open. The exhibits allow you to learn by touching, smelling and really experiencing the park's resources. Then, you can explore the park armed with this knowledge. This new environmentally-friendly visitor center is a candidate for LEED Gold certification. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices.
From U.S. 79 at McNeil, AR, go one mile east on County Road 47 (Logoly Road) to the park.
