Devil's Den Self-Guided Trail (National Recreation Trail)

Devil's Den State Park

Trail Type: Hiking Trail

The Devil's Den Trail has it all, gravity flow springs, peculiar erosional remnants of sandstone strata, wet weather waterfalls, and lush Ozark plant and animal life. This rocky trail is a perfect example of the rugged Boston Mountain terrain.

This is an awesome trail. My kids and I hike this one often. For those of you who miss the Devils Den Cave, here is a link to a slideshow I took when I explored the cave in April 2010 the weekend before it closed. http://www.associatedcontent.com/slideshow/54686/a_tour_of_the_devils_den_cave.html?cat=16 This is a trail that almost anyone can hike. Allow a lot of time to explore everything this trail has to offer. Be sure to hike durimg the winter when the falls are at their finest. Lynda Altman (11/27/2010)
