Explore the wonders and mysteries of The Natural State through the exhibit, Arkansas Reflections of Our Past. Learn interesting facts, and historical tid bits relating to our past. There will be an emphasis on Arkansas State Parks and the role they have played in the development of our rich history. This exhibit is part of the year-long celebration of Arkansas State Parks' 75th Anniversary.

Arkansas State Parks

Color Play

“Color Play” exhibits the art and science of color. From the Reynolds Foundation, this fun, "hands-on" exhibit includes many items children can manipulate.  The exhibit will open November 16, and close January 7, 2006.

Arkansas State Parks

The Remarkable Arkansas Oil Boom

The main gallery of the museum is a 25,000-foot exhibit center housing an Earth Globe, a Core Shaft, The Time Machine/Undersea Diorama, and the now famous "Smackover Boom Town Street". Outside is an oilfield park, picnic area and woodland walk.  The Museum collects, interprets and exhibits Arkansas’s natural resources with special reference to South Arkansas’s oil and brine industries.
