View two moments in the Battle of Prairie Grove during the first and last charges of the day on the eastern & western ends of the battlefield.

Battlefield Geocache Tour
Dates/Times: Open year round from 8 am until one hour after dark.

Bring your GPS unit and see the park on the Battlefield Geocache Tour. It is a multipoint geocache with 15 points. The tour covers about one mile and you should allow yourself 45 minutes to two hours to complete it. More information at Geocaching.com Please Remember, Geocaches can only be placed by park employees at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. The first coordinate is N 35° 58.988 W 094° 18.631

A CD audio tour from in the visitor center provides dramatic background and stories as it directs your drive along the battlefield to the western overlook to see the Morton hayfield where the last charge of the day took place.
