Due to the repeated severe weather and rain events Arkansas has been experiencing recently, it has become necessary to temporarily close some Arkansas State Parks facilities. And, in the case of Hampson Museum Archeological State Park, Jacksonport State Park, and Lake Ouachita State Park, the entire park is closed at this time. As the waters in some Arkansas rivers continue to rise over the coming days, other state park facilities will be added to this list of temporary closures.
Parks with specific facility closures at this time include Devil's Den State Park and Bull Shoals-White River State Park.
Queen Wilhelmina State Park Lodge is closed May 2-4 while plumbing contractors make repairs in the park restaurant.
