The Remarkable Arkansas Oil Boom

The main gallery of the museum is a 25,000-foot exhibit center housing an Earth Globe, a Core Shaft, The Time Machine/Undersea Diorama, and the "Smackover Boom Town Street." Outside is an oil field park, picnic area, and woodland walk. The museum collects, interprets, and exhibits Arkansas’s natural resources with special reference to South Arkansas’s oil and brine industries.
