Jacksonport State Park
Sunday at 4:50 am the No.2 levee near Jacksonport broke.
The river was at 32.5 feet and crested at 34.2 feet. The residents of Jacksonport were told to leave on Saturday at 11 pm by daylight Sunday the entire community was saturated. The highest level of water record at Newport for the White River was in 1945 at 35.9 feet.
