“In Their Wallet: Money in 19th Century Washington” Exhibit

“In Their Wallet” tells the story of the many challenges facing early Arkansans as they began building an economy with a sound money system. The exhibit features money and coins unique to the nineteenth century and addresses questions that remain in the present-day about the proper form and role of money in society.
