Road Scholars: An Ozark Experience
September 9, 2012 - September 14, 2012
Admission: $490 plus $75 registration fee
Road Scholar is the new name of the program formerly known as Elderhostel. Road Scholar participants, mostly over the age of 50, come from all kinds of backgrounds and from all over the U.S. and Canada. All participants have one thing in common: a love of learning. Program participants grow and learn through new experiences and the active exploration of subjects and interests around the world.
During this week you will learn about the Ozarks, from the field. We’ll float the White River, walk in the Ozark National Forest, and be guided through Blanchard Caverns. You’ll hear living history and storytelling, learn traditional dance, visit with our artisans in the Craft Village, and hear LOTS of music. There’s comfort in our
Cabins at Dry Creek and good food from our
Skillet Restaurant. To register call 1-800-454-5768 or visit
roadscholar.org.
