Recognizing Trees in Winter Devil's Den State Park

Admission: Free

Meeting Place: Woody Plant Trailhead in Area E by site 67

Without leaves, many people find it difficult to recognize even their favorite tree, but  trees have many distinguishing characteristics such as their bark, shape, and buds. Join Park Volunteer Karen to learn some ways to identify common trees in the winter. This hands-on program includes an eye-opening hike through the oak-hickory forest of Devil’s Den’s State Park’s Woody Plant Trail. Be sure to dress accordingly!
