The area surrounding Lake Dardanelle State Park has a diverse history. The area had many pioneers and trappers who came and lived off the land as well as Cherokees who settled here when they were pressured to leave their homeland in the east in the early 1800s. The climate was good and food was abundant. Join a park interpreter at the amphitheater to travel down the Meadowbrook Trail and discover some of the species vital for all who settled this area.
