Meeting Place: James A. Gaston Visitor Center
Learn the basics of kayaking; learn about safety, the gear, the different kayaking strokes and how to make a wet exit (optional) and rescue. There will be 2 hours of dry land and 3 hours on the water. We will meet at the James A. Gaston Visitor Center, but the session will be at Brown’s Beach on Bull Shoals Lake. Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet, preferably water shoes. Bring a water bottle/drink and sack lunch or snacks for the session. Dress for the weather. All gear is provided. Participant must be at least 13 years old.
