Meeting Place: Visitor Center
The first Friday of the month, Mississippi River State Park hosts programs geared towards homeschoolers in 3rd grade or higher. Today we are looking at the geology of Crowley’s Ridge. After discussing how the ridge was formed, create a model of the ridge to take home. Take a short hike to explore just how the geology of the ridge affects the plant life. Please wear closed-toed, sturdy shoes and insect repellent. Please pre-register by calling the visitor center at (870) 295-4040.
