First Day Hike
January 1, 2014
2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Meeting Place: Little Missouri River Trailhead
If your New Year’s resolution is to exercise and get outdoors more often, join a park interpreter at the Little Missouri River Trailhead on New Year's Day 2014 for a First Day Hike!
This 1.2-mile loop winds its way over level terrain through the woods from the campground to the scenic Little Missouri River and takes about one hour to complete. It also features exercise stations along the way to further promote fitness.
Half of the trail has paved barrier-free access, and it is the longest wheelchair accessible trail in southwest Arkansas. The unpaved left-hand section of the trail is easily walked. Dogs are welcome on the trail, but must remain on a leash.
Whether you’re staying close to home or traveling for the holidays, we hope you'll join us for a hike on New Year's Day!
Please note: The rest of the park and diamond search area will be closed on January 1 in observance of the holiday.
