Noon Storytelling:  Aunt Martha’s Civil War memories – Like many southern families and communities, the family of Martha Mills moved from Lancaster county Georgia, to the Alco, Arkansas area when Martha was a child in 1859. These families just wanted to build their homesteads and their communities.  But the Civil War tore them from their homes and devastated their lives.  Many years after the horrors of the war, Martha, now Martha Mills Brown, wrote down her story of the war years.  Her descendant, Melody Miller, shared her story with interpreter Jeanette Larson, who will share it with you today.

Evening Music Program Wednesday through Saturday
